That pesky demon that stole my pencil convinced my husband to stock up on Halloween sale pumpkins, the fake ones you can carve and save for later. Halloween has past, but my husband scrambled to carve the last of the blank pumpkins so they wouldn't feel left out while they sat under the stairs next to the pretty carved ones. I promised there would be one more pumpkin post and here it is. Introducing Baphomet to the left. My husband's new favorite jack or as we affectionately named him "catphomet" because my black cat, Toshio seems to like scratching his head on this one only. The goat God is Greek and from the 11th or 12th century. Its name literally means "absorption of knowledge". Baphomet revival began in the 19th century and later with the Church of Satan and other occult groups, but was not associated originally with anything like this.
And this is Skully. Uh-heh. No alien jokes, please. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
And here's another tribute to the classic 50s movie monsters, my pick, Frankenstein.
And this one is billed as a demon online, but he looks like a Misfits crypt keeper to me. *shrugs* Call 'im what you want. Thus concludes the giant gourd show for this year. Tune in next year for new editions and old friends.
